Body, hand and eye coordination: The student is practicing one of the most important fine motor skill that she will need when she starts writing with pencils. She grabs on to the chalk to trace in a circular motion while keeping body upright practicing postural control (Gross Motor Skills)as she rotates her body to complete a whole circle. After demonstration of how to spread sunscreen on hand, she imitated her teacher’s action to rub both hands together to evenly spread sunscreen on both hands which later applied to her own face, neck, and arms. At school, students establish good hygiene by brushing teeth after meals. Teacher provides verbal cues on how to clean teeth properly. Student practices serving herself different food by using utensils such as tongs and serving spoons. With verbal guidances and visual demonstration, she had many success on getting food to her own plate/bowl without dropping on to the table. She then uses silverware to eat by herself and attempts to pour own water. Student is still practicing on eye-hand coordination with pitcher. Student puts on her own shoes every day before walking to the park. She has developed the habit of taking shoes before entering school and puts on own shoes before outdoor times.
